San Jose, CA - July 29,2005 –Etheric Networks, of Mountain View, CA is providing high-speed wireless broadband connections for the Taylor Woodrow Grand Prix of San Jose. This event marks the firstChamp Car race to feature real-time race telemetry and streaming video to thefans in the Grandstands and luxury boxes.
Partnering with Etheric Networks are Intervision Systems Technologies and Trapeze Networks who together, have created a wireless network and asuper-fast Internet connection for all race attendees in downtown San Jose, Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31, 2005.
Etheric Networks is providing the uplink to the Internet; Trapeze Networks, the public WiFi access; and Intervision Systems, the integration. Etheric’s 10Mbps – 20Mbps 802.11a radios are being deployed with full redundancy. For more information contact:
